My name is Mark Newton and I’m the Art Director and Partner of SpaceRocket » an Android development studio. I had my first job as a Graphic Designer back in 1997, after my Degree in Design and I have over years experience in the design industry.

Before starting SpaceRocket I worked on a range of printed media, DVD production, packaging design and photography for a variety of clients including: Sainsburys, Jaguar, AFC Wimbledon, Gardner Tackle, ECHO and the DC Leisure Group. My photography has been used within a range of printed literature as well as being published within national magazines and newspapers. These include Anglers Mail, Angling Times, Course Angling Today, Course Fisherman, Total Course Fishing, What Satellite, Mountain Bike UK and The Daily Mirror.

I run the studio with my programmer/designer brother Andrew. Andrews past includes Web Art Director for Arcadia and led the online look and feel for many of their fashion brands, such as the Flash e-commerce Topshop website. He also programmed the till simulator and e-learning course for B&Q, which won 1st place for 'Best use of Technology for Employee Development' at the 2006 European Retail Solutions Awards. For more about Andrew check out his website ».

Andrew now spends his days looking at reams of code and debugging whilst my time is spent designing apps, the website, running twitter, answering feedback, promoting the business and making the tea.
